Fidelity import not working. Pleas help

Has anyone been able to import their forms from Fidelity? It has worked for the past couple of years but it's not working this year. Tried it all weekend....  I tested my username and password in Fidelity multiple times and it works there, but TurboTax fails to log into Fidelity. keep giving me this:

"That still didn’t work, so try one of these. (103)"....

-Follow the link to check your sign-in info, then return and try again.Go to site

-Is that the right bank or URL? Some look alike and have other subdivisions.

Also, clicking on "Go to site" goes to a blank page. Is this a bug?

From what I have seen, most of the users are successfully be able to import.  Some still having issues.  I would suggest you enter the information manually.

In TurboTax online,

  • Sign in to your TurboTax account and select Pick up where you left off
  • At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in "1099b" and Enter
  • Select Jump to 1099b
  • Follow prompts
  • On-screen, Let's get your tax info, select I'll type it myself
  • Follow prompts

Use the same instructions for 1099int or 1099div

@LinaJ2020  Manual import is not an option. I tried H&R block and worked without an issue. The link takes you to a blank page on TurboTax. I highly doubt it's working for anyone... You should report this as a bug to get it fixed instead of saying "it works for most people". It's not helpful.

I can confirm i am experiencing the above symptoms, exactly as describe on both my Mac and PC. When will this be resolved?

If you are on the online edition, follow the steps below to clear the cache first before entering the information manually ( see instructions above)

  • Check your internet connection.  Try to log out and sign back in the program.
  • Clear your cache and sign back into the program.   To clear cache, click here: Cache
  • You may also try a different browser.

I've tried a different browser, I don't want to input the information manually as its quite a few forms

Why isn't anyone on your team taking this seriously.

I've cleared my cache tried different browsers and even tried a different OS.

Same error

That didn’t work. Try signing in again. (103)

Another possible workaround on this would be to update your settings in your Fidelity online account to allow the import. Without updating the settings, it's possible the banking authority is blocking TurboTax from accessing the account. Please update these settings from your account online.  You may need to call in your bank to get more information on this.

If this one does not work, you would have to manually enter the information, unfortunately.

I have imported my Fidelity data - a lot - but the final efile check shows a few blank spaces (on a blank form!). I have no idea what is needed. Print out shows everything, I think. Can I bypass the final efile check to file my return somehow?

It is definitely no longer working.  It worked fine before the last update.  I did my own return and successfully imported from Fidelity.  Now when I am doing my children's returns the continue button is greyed out every time I select Fidelity investments.

May I ask can you try logging out of your TurboTax account, clear cache and delete cookies. Then try logging back in to your TurboTax account and see if the continue button is still showing greyed out. Please let us know if this helps or if you are still having the same issue.

I solved my Fidelity import problem by typing in the user name and password.  Apparently, you can't have the browser (in may case safari) fill it in for you automatically.

My TDameritrade worked perfect.  Fidelity Investments has NOT.  I can download the 2020 tax information as a PDF- but I can’t import into TurboTax.  I keep getting “the information you have requested is not available” message.  I would just like to know who’s issue it is?

Just typing in manually is an unacceptable solution.

Please follow the instructions in this TurboTax FAQ to contact customer support for assistance on your import with Fidelity:  What is the TurboTax phone number?

I got it to download, but I now have 153 errors.  When I started looking at the errors, it is basically blank forms with my name and social, no data.  Doesn't appear anyone is taking this serious at all.

This would be best resolved by calling and speaking with a tax specialist by clicking here

Folks,

I've not done taxes yet this year. Last year I got Fidelity imported but a final check wanted a blank form on Fidelity I think; made no sense. Problem: I don't recall how I fix it. I may have found a way to avoid the check by just putting 00s in the form or avoiding it. OR I may have call turbotax, but I do not recall that.

Try making the form a dummy, obviously fake form! or accepting it somehow. Might even have to go back and change an answer to a question you answered incorrectly or were not sure of.

RE Importing, you definitely should try a different browser. Or go back and check your answers on whether you have "completed" a section. Turbo tax still has a lot of confusing instructions.

Your "solutions" are cop outs.  Users are telling you the software is broken from last update.  The solution is to fix your software

I had the same problem.  I was finally able to resolve it.  I had a really long password on my Fidelity account.  I changed it to a shorter password.  Once I did that, the data imported.

The workaround that worked for me: log into Fidelity directly and download the PDF of the 1099-R form to my computer. (Had to use a different browser as Chrome wouldn't login for some reason.) Then upload the PDF to TurboTax. All fields filled correctly, but checked them against a printout of the PDF that I always file in a folder every year.

Yep that didnt work either.  PHone support couldn't find a way to upload a PDF.

@lmkruse   Have you talked to Fidelity?   Maybe they have had enough users phone with a TurboTax import problem that they know what the issue is.

Yes, they said there was nothing wrong on their end.  And I agree.  I see posts from back in 2019 about this.  I assume TT doesn't care   I called TT. Said they couldn't help and no one else I can talk to....and then closed the ticked as resolved.  Not great customer relations.
