Every year I file with TurboTax, there’s some delay, either the required forms aren’t available or, now, a processing error. Today is January 31. When is this going to be resolved?
Federal return rejection: Reject Code SA-F1040-002
Description of error:
If Schedule A (Form 1040), 'OtherThanByCashOrCheckAmt' is greater than 500, then Form 8283 must be attached.
What needs to be done:
This return cannot be filed at this time due to a processing error that will be corrected on January 31st, 2026. On or after this date, open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing.
