FAILED_VALIDATION: Error Code 54
This version of TurboTax is no longer current. You must ... blah blah Check for Updates and then you can e-file.
I checked for updates half a dozen times already and no new updates are coming through, and I can't e-file either. I bought this edition from Amazon. Did Intuit just give Amazon a piece of junk to sell to their customers? Or are these e-file updates "still in progress" and not even available to download, like so many users had reported. This is already Feb 16th, though, not Jan 29th. Please clarify. Thx
I have the same Error Code 54 and failure to e-file from TurboTax purchased from Costco online, so I also would like to know how resolve this issue!
Ditto. I tried manually updating the software using the "superpatch" file downloaded from their website. That didn't work either.
Looks like the update was just rolled out yesterday (2/15/24), so I suspect this is a SW bug that they need to fix with another update. Very frustrating.
I purchased the product a BJs Wholesale Club and am having the same issue.
Error Code 54, me too. This is really annoying and apparently wide spread...
Sure, why don't we just ask for Intuit's corporate credit card to cover certified mailing fees, plus $15/hr for time spent standing in line at the post office.

If this many people have the same issue in the same time period, it's a bug. No re-installation is going to fix it. What is the version it is looking for online and where does it find the version on the PC to compare?
Uninstalling and reinstalling did not work. Same error appeared.

I received the message to update. I did.
It no longer reads Error 54.
It now reads that the 2023 business filings are not available on Turbotax.
Can you help?
Works for me! Software update said everything was up-to-date, so I guess the issue was server-side.
