Estimating Taxes for 2019

Do you have a way to estimate what my taxes might be for filing on the 2019 Tax year?

You can use the TurboTax calculator TaxCaster to get an estimate of taxes owed or a tax refund - https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/calculators/taxcaster/

That web site is one year old...only good for 2018 returns.

Wait until December 4 and then you can use the TurboTax online editions for 2019 - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/

Or use the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions for 2019 which are currently available - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/

Thanks.  I have the cd from Amazon loaded on my computer.  Used TAx Act last year which was bad.  Can I just make assumptions and start an estimated 2019 return?  Is that the easiest?

Yes, you can start the 2019 tax return using the TurboTax software with just estimates and then enter at a later date the actual tax data.  Note that there will be several updates to the software before the 2019 tax return can be filed after January 1, 2020.  The program will tell you the dates of when any of your forms or schedules will be available in the Review section of the program.
