Error Message when filing, "cannot file one or more formsets"

This is such a frustrating error! All of my information is correct, I already paid, and I spent an hour and half with customer service with no fixes other than "wait 24 hours."  I even tried submitting my federal taxes without the state and it gave me a different error message. This is seriously not acceptable. I have been a customer for 8 years and this will probably be the last one, especially when Turbotax happily charged me $90, which worked no problem. Is anyone else encountering this issue? Any known fixes?

I even tried to select filing by mail just to see if what would happen and I even get an error message on that and it won't even let me download or print my returns. Something is not working for sure!

Can you try to delete your state return and then add it back in to see if this resolves the issue?

How do I clear my state return in the TurboTax for Windows software?

I did that and it did not work. I even tried to file the federal returns without the state at all and it still didn't work.

We would like to take a deeper look at this. However, we need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed. You can send one to us by following the directions below:

 

TurboTax Desktop/Download Versions:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Click the Online tab in the black bar across the top of TurboTax and select “Send Tax File to Agent”
  3. This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created.  Click on OK and the tax file will be sanitized and transmitted to us.
  4. Please provide the Token Number that was generated in the response.

It won't even let me do that. It gives me an error message after I click share with an agent. It states 

 

"Sorry, there was an error while trying to save your tax file."

 

I can't even clear and start over because I already paid!
