Hello TurboTax Community - I am hoping somebody can help me with the inability to save my TurboTax 2022 Desktop for Windows file, due to receiving error code 567809. This has happened consistently after I import a 1099 form that has thousands of line items on it.
I have read the support articles from Intuit as well as a post on this forum, suggesting that the problem may be a corrupted file or that I may succeed by saving my file to a new location. I did try saving my file to a different location, and while that did allow me to save after I imported the 1099, I then got the error message a few minutes later after I adjusted the cost basis for one of the 1099 entries.
The workaround I am using for now is to enter all my other tax info, saving every few minutes. Instead of importing the 1099's with thousands of lines, I have entered summary information in TurboTax. This is workable for understanding what my refund will be, but I am getting a message that I need to mail in my 1099 information after I e-file. This doesn't seem like a fully successful workaround, since I am e-filing for the purpose of avoiding a mail-in return.
I've also seen suggestions on these forums that the problem can be avoided by starting the return over. This is not acceptable, as I would have to repeat hours of data entry. I actually already did this once, and then still got the error message when I tried to import the large 1099.
Any other ideas or details I can provide?
How many transactions are imported per brokerage account? You mentioned thousands of lines, but Turbo Tax states here it can only import up to 10,000.
