Error 567812 on Desktop 2024

I get the following message when I try to save the tax file:

"We couldn't save this file because it is 'Read Only' or 'Part of a Read-Only File', such as a CD.

Use 'Save As' to rename or move it. Error 567812"

When I use "Save As", I get the same error message.

How do I fix this, so I can save the Tax File?

Thank you.

Did you get an answer/solution?  I have the same issue--happened when I began my state return.

I received the same error.  Continued to happen after clicking File / Save As and changing file name; however, appears to have worked by using File / Save As and changing the file location.  Hope this helps.

Are you trying to save your tax file to a different drive, other than your C drive?  If so, that may cause the error.

It's best to work with TurboTax and files on the C drive.  You can move them to another drive when you've finished your returns.

I am getting this error and am not trying to save it anywhere but the C drive.  What is a better solution?

What finally worked for me was exiting TT, re-opening the file and saving it on my desktop. I lost a bit of work, but had no trouble after that
