efiling Virginia

Turbo tax will not let me efile Virginia.  It keeps asking me to correct information on the Virginia return and there is nothing to correct.  Has Virginia opened the portal to allow me to efile and if not then Turbo tax should say so and not keep asking me to correct something.  Do not know how to move forward

I recommend going through the state interview section again to ensure nothing was missed. 

 

It could be something as simple as selecting yes or no to a question, or entering a zero in an input section.  

  1. Select State in the black panel on the left hand side of your screen when logged into TurboTax.
  2. This will take you to a screen titled Let's get your state taxes done right.  Click continue on this screen.
  3. You will see the following screen titled Status of your state returns.  Select Edit to the right of your state.

 

Go over Virginia again and review each input screen to ensure all fields are addressed.

My Virginia eFile has not been rejected twice stating there is no 1040. My 1040 Federal is already submitted and accepted. Please explain. Thank You..

There is an issue with some states with adding the federal return to the state e-filing. TurboTax developers are aware of the issue and are working on it.
