Efile 1099s

I am a paid preparer and have always used Turbo Tax to prepare and electronically send my clients' 1099s to the IRS. The question is whether I need to obtain a TCC number.

TurboTax is a do it yourself software and is not intended for use by paid preparers.

 

A TCC number is for businesses who are filing forms electronically through the IRS FIRE System.
