e-file without providing a phone number

The IRS 1040 instructions clearly state a phone number is not needed but TurboTax forces me to enter it otherwise I cannot e-file. Quite annoying and bad practice which will make me re-evaluate this product next year.

In order to e-file with Turbo Tax, you will need to provide a phone number.
