E-File rejected due to Control Number

I'm trying to e-file my taxes but it says I can't because the Control Number on my W-2 is less than 2 alpha or numeric characters. It's only says "C". But I've e-filed every year in the past and my W-2 has always just showed "C". How do I fix this so I can e-file? Can I just put in any letters and move on? This is literally the last step for me to finish.

Will that let me e-file still? The wording makes it sound like I won't be able to if I delete everything.

The box D Control Number is not required to e-file your tax returns.

Thank you both for the help! I got rid of the letter and it went through. Guess I just misunderstood the note on the error that was coming up.
