E-File Forms is grayed out (showing "E-File will be available soon!") in Quick Employer Forms even though each W-2 shows "READY FOR E-FILE".

Seems like people have been reporting this since January 4th, 2023, and it is January 8th, 2023 as I write this.  That's not particularly "soon" when you're trying to get your Forms off.

Anyone working on this? --> E-File Forms is grayed out (showing "E-File will be available soon!") in Quick Employer Forms even though each W-2 shows "READY FOR E-FILE".

I'm  having the same problems with e-filing my w9s. The form says was ready for e-filing but then when you go to submit it says will be available soon.

@Draconis  Just keep checking back to efile.  It is probably too early.  They are not due to the IRS until Jan 31.  You can still print out the copies to give to the individuals.

Last year we E-Filed via Intuit on 01-09 so this is only 1 day earlier.  The earliest I see us doing this was also the 8th, a few years ago, but perhaps Intuit is experiencing some issues with their E-File connection.  Will certainly check back, but as I'm the owner of our Small Business, there are more parts to our January filings, and it's not great to get stalled on the 1st one (when you're used to completing all of them on the same day).  Sure you understand.  Would be nice to see something more concrete than "E-file will be available soon!".

I'm having the same problem. I filed my 1099's on the 8th last year with no problem.  I went ahead and printed my forms to distribute and I guess I'll check back daily to see if the option to e-file is working.  I hope they get it fixed soon, we only have about 16 more business days until they are due.

Check back later was the correct response here.  As of today, 01-10, the "E-file Forms" button is no longer grayed out.  Our W2s now show "E-FILE PROCESSING" after submission.  I refreshed a few times but it's pretty clear that they DID process since Intuit soon after sent confirmation emails for each submitted W2 saying, they "... were electronically submitted ..." and also " Please Note: It may take several days to process and return an acceptance." so bottom line ... they're submitted, so we (you) can move on even though it says "E-FILE PROCESSING".
