on two seperate returns for two seperate individuals, i have tried to e-file federal returns.  In both cases, the error message is the same....the AGI for 2020 is not recognized by the IRS.  in both cases, i have used the AGI from last year's for.  When that gets rejected, i use the total income number.  again, doesnt match IRS files.  is this a  turbo tax issue or?  Getting god damned frustrating !

On 2 separate returns, The agi used as part of the verification process to e file does not match the irs.  I have validated the number with last year’s printed copy and still the rejection

If it was rejected for AGI—-be aware that many 2020 returns took so long for the IRS to process that your 2020 AGI might not be in the IRS system.   Try using zero instead.

If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year.  The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
