Dual citizen

I need to file in both US and Canada. I recognize that I need both Canada and US versions of turbo tax to do this. Do the two versions interact so Us info populates my Canada returns? And, can these versions recognize that I file jointly in the UAS and create 2 Canadian returns for my wife and I?

@Bob258 ,  interesting question. And  I do  not know the answer  nor can I check/ verify because  I do not have the Canadian version of TurboTax.

Having said  this , I would  be extremely surprised  if  there is any co-ordination  between  the US and Canadian TurboTax products.   This is because  while  most users  file both a US Federal and  at least One State returns ( implying  a very common/ essential  need ) the user population  filing a  US return and a Canadian return is much smaller.  So  I do not believe there is co-ordination between the two products.

I would really welcome experienced user comments on this.

I apologize  for only offering a guess on this problem.

The US and Canadian versions of TurboTax do not feed any data to one another.   You would need to populate all of the data in each program separately.   You can return to this forum for any questions about how to enter data into the US version, and support for the Canadian version can be found separately HERE.
