You have to call customer service and ask to speak to a representative. It will take an hour on the line since the person helping has to get a “level 2” person to help you. They will issue a service code that gives you free filing but you have to use their online turbo tax. You have to use the service code quickly as it expires and the whole process starts over.
This is a 10 month old thread about the 2017 software.
Please post a new questing for 2018 and describe the problem and the OS that you have. 2018 requires Mac OSX 10.12 or later.
The current tax year program (Turbotax 2017) requires OS 10.11 (El Capitan) or higher. If you can't upgrade your OS, you may need to use the online version instead, even though it has some other drawbacks.
