Direct Deposit, Payment

TT Premier Desktop Mac

How do I enter Direct Deposit or Payment for my New York return? When I go to form IT-203 and click the box for electronic funds, it does nothing.

Same question for Missouri return - can't find anywhere to put direct deposit info.

Why isn't this part of the interview? Direct Deposit pretty standard, right?

You only have yo enter your direct deposit information once.  It is done at the end of your return in the File section.

To get to that section in TurboTax.

  1.  Open your tax return
  2.  Scroll down to Finish & File, select Continue
  3.  Go through Step 1, and review your order
  4.  In Step 2, Your Refund/Payment Info, you will enter your direct deposit information for any federal, state, and city returns.

I hope it works like that. Don't remember from the past - thought I entered on forms directly.

You seem to have this issue every year. TTD asks in the filing section on all of it's product about how you want to receive your refund or make payments.

TurboTax hides your full checking account and routing numbers on downloaded returns, displaying them as masked characters (e.g., XXXXXXXXX) for security and identity protection. This is standard procedure for electronic files; however, the complete banking information is still transmitted to the IRS for direct deposit.

Or do you mean it has the routing number in both places on the same page?

Really? Timely answer, though.
