By "Track My Refund" do you mean the IRS website, a State tax website, or Turbotax?

This is Robert Peevey.  Filed return using eFile with you.  Asked that refund be direct deposited.  I needed cash in direct deposit account, so withdrew funds and closed the account thinking that refund was already deposited.  closed on May 26, 2024.  IRS says they deposited funds on May 29, 2024.  But, since account closed, I received no refund.  How can I get my refund?

This is Robert Peevey.  I closed direct deposit account on May 28, 2024 and IRS says they sent refund on May 29,2024.  Checked with bank and received no refund.  What can I do to get refund?

Yes, I still have questions.  I have not received my tax refund.  What can I do?

@rmpeevey Since the account was closed the bank would have automatically sent the federal tax refund back to the IRS.  The IRS will now send a refund check to the address on your tax return.

They tried to deposit on May 29,2024.  When can I expect them to send the check by mail.

After the IRS receives the refund it can take up to three weeks for the IRS to mail the check.

@rmpeevey Since you have not received the refund -

Did you request to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund?

If so -

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the $40 service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the $40 service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.

For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/

I did have the charge to you for audit protection deducted from my refund.  How do I notify the processor to mail the refund instead of direct deposit?

As I posted you have to contact the third party processor.
