Deceased brother's return

I filed my brother's 2024 return last February using Turbotax. He passed away in August. I am executor of his estate but I have no court documentation because his will did not have to go through probate. I have all of his financial information (banks, social security, pension, etc.). I assume I would have to include a Form 1310 to claim his refund. Can I use Turbotax to file his return. I would probably use the full service application.

You would have to file a 1310 for a refund because you're not court appointed.

However, you can use TurboTax to file his final return and the full-service feature would be a good option.

Sorry for your loss.
