Although you might be able to view or print your information from the website, most banks, brokerages and other financial institutions do not have the data formatted for import into tax software before sometime in February.  So if you are wanting to enter it sooner, you have to key it in by hand.   Or….wait until it is available for import.

If you want to enter it manually, click the option that says “I’ll type it in myself”

My financial institution has made the forms available electronically. The financial data IS AVAILABLE as shown on my financial institurion account.

Just like previous years, TurboTax 2025 successfully connected to the institution and retrieved the data.

TurboTax2025 shows:

Connection Complete!

Success! We got your tax data. You can now return to TurboTax.

NOTHING shows up.

Unlike previous year, the financial institurion data is not added.  Yes, I am aware I can enter the information manually but why?!?  I paid for TurboTax to do so just like previous years when it worked.

Thank you very much for the heads up.  I appreciate it.  It works!

You would think that someone at Intuit/TurboTax Support would have the common sense to post the solution.

Where are their "CHAMPS".  Totally, clueless!

Thank you again for your assistance.

Thanks, I will also try that.  I am having the exact same problem as described.

Previous years, TurboTax worked better.  I think they are getting worse every year and living off their reputation.  Maybe TaxCut is better?

I'm having the exact same problem and have never had this issue using Turbo Tax Premier for many years. They also made the input screens more complex.

Same issue here.

Intuit - This is a MAJOR issue!  Why aren't you addressing it?

I agree with you.

Where are the Intuit/TurboTax "CHAMPS".  Totally, clueless!

If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.

To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings:

  1. Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL.
  2. Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu.
  3. Toggle the switch to ON.
  4. Refresh the page and attempt your import again.

If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play:

  • Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements.
  • Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back.
  • Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser.

There is no such menu item in Chrome:

Has anyone at Inutit actually tested this feature using Chrome?

The typical support CUT/PASTE.

Really?!?  How come Firefox WORKS FLAWLESSLY without having to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.  All the user needs to do is to select Firefox as the browser when TurboTax opens up the dialog to sign up to the financial institution to retrieve financial data.  Try it!

Chrome did not work for me.

It's just to the left of the URL in a white circle.

2/18/2026 ...data still not importing.  TT needs to notify clients if there's a delay from financial institutions.  This is very frustrating for anyone trying to complete taxes!!
