Credit Card Payment Processing Delay

I submitted my taxes on a timely basis and opted to charge the tax amount to a credit card in lieu of an ACH debit. I provided the requisite credit card information to TurboTax during the preparation process. The tax has not yet been charged to the credit card. Is this delay in processing credit card charges expected? Or should the charge have him my credit card at time of filing?

As long as your return was filed on time, and you provided your payment information, then you are considered to have filed and paid on time.  It makes sense that there could be some delays in processing since you submitted your return very near the deadline.

Take a look at the following TurboTax help article which addresses direct debit payments because the situation is most likely similar for credit card payments:

When will my tax payment go through?
