Capital Loss Carryover

I had claimed Capital Loss Carryover (CLC) from 2018 to 2022. I sold my primary home in 2022, TurboTax rejected my CLC. I didn't claim CLC in 2023. How do I claim the remaining CLC for 2024?

I used TurboTax for all of my returns.

You have to report your carryover every year.  If you don't amend your 2023 tax return, you will lose $3,000 because you can't  "skip" a year and carry the loss forward.

Refer to the TurboTax article What is a capital loss carryover? and How do I enter my capital loss carryover? for more information.

Since your capital loss carryover didn't transfer,  refer to the TurboTax article How do I enter my capital loss carryover? for navigation instructions to enter it.
