Cannot E file - message saying update required

HELP!  has anyone found a fix for not being able to e file. I keep getting a message that an update has to be installed, everything is up to date!  Been on with customer service for hours - re started , updated, uninstalled and re installed, cleared caches and cookies and still cannot e file.  I am a little more than upset to say the least .  I have Premier version for Windows and I am a veteran Turbotax user - maybe not for much longer......

Me, too. Been using Turbotax for years. Super frustrated. Need to file for my refund but cannot get past this.

Try this manual update and see if it works:

f you're having trouble updating your TurboTax 2019 for Windows Individual software using the "Check for Updates" method, you can get the latest federal program update here:

  1. Close TurboTax and all other programs except this browser window.
  1. Click here to download the 184 MB update.
  1. Save the update file to your Windows desktop.
  2. Double-click the update file w_perrelsuperpatch... on your desktop to install the manual update.

When running this update, it says I don't have TurboTax 2019 installed, but of course I do.

Found out why it would not update.... The version I received was a pirated version.  It does not do any updates at all.  Have to purchase a new disk.

You will likely find under the help tab/update history that there have been no updates at all on your installation of TurboTax either.

The folks at TurboTax told me that are seeing a lot of such pirated versions this year.

Same problem for me and this did not work.  I bought as hard copy disk from BJ's so no way I have a pirated

version.  Need help!

In some instances, temporary internet files can disrupt access to secure websites. If a page fails to load or you experience difficulties signing in to your account, clear your browser's temporary internet files, including cookies, cache and browser history.  Then close and restart your browser.
