Cannot access a folder list to save a tax return in another folder

I was able to Import last year's tax file and wanted to save my resulting tax return-in-progress to my usual tax folder. The save dialog box does not provide a method for selecting folders, or seeing the hierarchy of folders in menu form. I am only able to save to pre-defined folders or recent folders, instead of being able to select any folder I want, as every application in existence allows.

Are you trying to save a PDF or .tax file, and are using the CD/Download or online version?

If you are on Windows try doing a Save As.   Go up to File - Save As

I'm trying to save a .tax file, but in a folder that's not in my sidebar and not one of the most recent folders, which are the only folders being presented to me during a Save operation.

All other applications allow me to bring up a navigable folder structure window, where I can go up, down, sideways, etc to get to the folder I'm interested in saving the file in.

I'm using Mac, but it's true as well, except for the fact that I cannot get to the File menu, due to another problem with Keychain files. I CAN do a <SHIFT><CMD>S to bring up the Save As menu, but the problem is that the dialog box that comes up does not allow me to select any folder.

Use meaningful names to organize your tax files.

How many can there be ?
