After creating two Schedule K entries, I discovered I can't uncheck the box after returning to it.
I CAN check unchecked boxes, but cannot remove the checks from already checked ones.
Is this a bug? I really don't want to have to recreate these. Any troubleshooting steps?
I assume you were referring to a Schedule K-1. If you are wanting to remove the forms, you can simply do so by following these steps:
In TurboTax online,
If you are using the desktop version, here are the steps:
Hi @LinaJ2020 thanks for replying. The issue isn't removing a form.
You're correct I'm referring to the K-1. After filling out the step-by-step answers for the K-1, I then return to update it. I want to uncheck Box 13. But when I click on it, the check isn't removed. I CAN check the box on another box that isn't checked (e.g. Box 11).
How can I remove the check?
Wow - what does it take to get a response? I guess nobody else is experiencing this?
Some troubleshooting steps would be nice...
I am sorry you didn't get a quick resolution to your issue.
What you need to do is go to the entry you made for box 13 and click on the drop down menu to the left of your entry. If you scroll all the way to the top of the list of options, you will find the top row is blank, and if you click on that blank row, the description you chose for that entry will disappear. Then, all you need to do is delete the amount you entered and the box 13 check will disappear.
I am having this same issue with box 13 in Turbo Tax Premier 2021.

If you entered a code and amount after checking box 13, you won't be able to uncheck the box until you remove the code and the amount that you have entered.
Go to the Form format. Usually the associated form opens right away.
There you can delete the [X].
when you return to the Step-by-Step format the X is gone.
We are unable to view your return here in this public forum. It would be best to follow the instructions here so we can look into this further. @umphrey3
