Can't import W2

I keep getting the error "W-2 import for this employer is unavailable in this product at this time.
Please try again on Friday, 18 February 2022 at 09:00:00 PT", anyone else experiencing this issue? Why do certain versions of Turbo Tax allow you to import but others you have to wait?

Skip the import ... choose to enter it manually.  Do not enter the EIN when prompted and continue to the next screen.

Some of the reasons you cannot import your W-2 are:

  • Your payroll provider needs to be a TurboTax Import Partner
  • Your W-2 must be available for import. Most are ready by February 1 and some are disabled after the filing deadline
  • We need the Box 1 amount from your W-2 or the year-to-date YTD gross income from your year-end pay stub
  • In some cases, we'll need the Box d Control Number from your W-2, but only if your payroll provider requires it

If you are unable to import your W-2, you can type it in instead. Please follow these steps in TurboTax to add your W-2:

  1. Open your tax return.
  2. Search for W-2 with the magnifying glass tool on the top of the page.
  3. Select the Jump to W-2 link at the top of the search results.Click on Add a W-2.
  4. Follow the on screen instructions.

This is a restriction put in place by the issuer  not the TT program.  If you can get a PDF of the form yourself you can simply enter it manually.

I am receiving the same error message but I am not using the import wizard, I am trying to manually enter the W-2 and getting the import message " try again on Feb 18th"

It seems like there's a bug. I was able to enter one of my W-2's automatically, but I can't enter the other two. I tried this:

1. I selected Work on my W-2 > Continue.
2. I entered the EIN number, and clicked Continue.
3. I see a "Working" message and the "Please wait," and then this error:

We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on to make sure all your info's correct.

Then, I tried step 1, but for step 2, I did not enter an EIN number, but I see the same error.

I can't go any further. I can't enter the W-2's manually or automatically.

I'm using the Home and Business version.

Skip the import screen (do NOT enter the EIN) and continue to manually enter more W-2 forms.

That solution definitely does not work. I suspect a glitch in the software/website.  I originally uploaded my W2 form and everything was read correctly by TurboTax. At the final review and to my surprise, I was asked to enter all the info manually. So, I went back and deleted my W2, in the hope that a renewed upload would resolve the problem. However, I was then no longer given the option to upload: the upload wizard never appeared. It seems lots of folks have that issue.  I tried the solution recommended here: I do not get to the upload wizard, and it does not allow me to proceed.  I tried rebooting, different browsers, all to no avail.  I gave up and entered everything manually.  It seems lots of folks have that problem.  TurboTax needs to fix it.
