Can't add a W-2

I'm starting a new tax return, a married couple filing jointly.  I click Federal Taxes > Wages & Income > I'll choose what I work on > Wages and Salaries update > Select "Work on John's W-2" and Continue and then I just get a blank screen.  Yes, Windows is fully updated.  Yes, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.  Yes, I've rebooted multiple times.  Yes, I tried starting a whole new return from scratch.    Any suggestions?

Are you running the program as an Administrator?  If not, try this -

Save the tax return

Close the TurboTax program

Right click on the TurboTax icon on the computer screen

Click on Run as administrator

Start the TurboTax program, continue the tax return and see if the problem persists

Running as administrator did not correct the problem.  A few other observations:

  1. Adding a W-2 was working previously, so the issue seems related to an update. This seems to have started with the installation of the 3/18/2022 release.
  2. I've noticed when I try to create a new W-2, a shaded window opens behind the TurboTax window.  The window has a spinner with "Please wait..."
  3. When I then close TurboTax, TurboTax closes, but that is followed by a new session of TurboTax launching by itself.  It seems to only launch the new session when it was closed previously with the W-2 window left hanging.

Sadly, this has been an issue for SEVERAL months - - I've spoken to TurboTax HelpLine Reps several times... I get lip-service, promises, no action - - and CLEARLY no remedy.  I've been told, Turbotax I/T aware and working on a fix.  Nothing in 3 months.  I expected better from TurboTax.
