Can I electronically file more than 1 return for free?

If you are using the online version, then you will need to create an account for each return you are going to file.

If you are using the desktop version, you can e-file up to 5 federal returns for free.  There is a fee for e-filing the state return when using the desktop version.   

Using the TurboTax online editions there is no charge to e-file a tax return, federal or state.  The TurboTax account fees are for the use of the software to assist in completing a tax return.  The account fees are the same whether the tax return is e-filed or printed for mailing.

The TurboTax online editions can only be used to complete and file one tax return per account and User ID.  If you want to file another return with the online editions you will need to create a new account with a new User ID.
