On California Schedule CA, Part II, Line 21, my return has a large entry for other expenses. I followed the links in the software and found that it is linked to the total amount of my federal itemized deductions, but is about 25% larger than my federal deductions. Since this amount is then added added to my itemized deductions, this seems like it is incorrect.
Can anyone check that this is calculating properly? Where is the amount coming from?
