Box 2 on my W-2 is empty, what do I put?

Federal Income Tax withheld box is empty.

If the W-2 is correct and you didn't have federal taxes withheld throughout the year, then you would enter 0 or leave it blank.

If the W-2 is not correct, please contact your employer so they can get you a corrected W-2 for you to report on your return. Please wait until you get the corrected W-2 before you file. (It will be a W-2c)
