Box 12

Are long term disability payments taxable if a J is in box 12, and box 13 states third party sick pay?

Thank you for your question!  Code J in box 12 of your W-2 is for Nontaxable sick pay.  It is used for reporting information only and the amount is not included in boxes 1, 3, or 5 (so not included in taxable pay).
