Box 12 on W2

In my W2 in box 12 I have an amount for AA which I have entered into TurboTax but I also have a AA22 amount which I do not know how to enter into TurboTax.  Do I combine the amounts and do one AA line?

You can add them both together.  They are both insurance payments.

These are likely Roth contributions.  The AA is the current year and the AA22 are contributions that were made for 2022.  This is common with a military W-2s.

on W2 in box 12 there is AA - $3200  and  AA22 - $12 how do you combined them? Do you add $3200 + $12 with AA - $3212 and put down on taxes. If so then it won't match what's on your W2.  Do I just ignore AA22 - $12 and only put AA - $3200. I've  researched this and can not get a definitive answer on what to do!!!

As shown in the drop-down menu for Box 12, code AA is for Roth contributions to a 401(k) plan.

TurboTax will only allow code AA to be used once per Form W-2. You can either add the two figures together and enter the total on the AA line, or ask your employer as to why they have a separate amount identified as "AA22" in Box 12.

You can click "Add another box 12 item" for additional codes, but not another line for the same code.
