You wrote: "Can I get an extension for my auto debit?"
What kind of auto-debit? That can be interpreted two ways.
Did you chose to pay any TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, and now you are getting an emailed bill from TurboTax about a debit of TurboTax fees due to a delayed (or reduced) Federal refund?
Or did you set up a debit with the IRS to pay taxes owed?
@Orashonda wrote:The 1st one. I thought I paid from my taxes.
OK. Here is the answer for the first scenario:
If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, has your Federal refund been delayed at the IRS an unusual amount of time, or was it reduced by the IRS? In either of those cases, TurboTax would want to be paid and will start emailing you bills to pay the fees. If there is no response to the emails, they will send an email that they will debit your bank account. If still not paid, then they submit the auto-debit. Once they submit it, they can't stop it.
So if you have been emailed that they are going to auto debit your bank account on a certain date, you should phone them ASAP and ask for a deferment.
Once they start the debit process they cannot stop it, and they start it 2-3 days prior to the bank debit.
If the email has a phone number to reach Support, try that first. If it didn't tell you how to reach Support, here's another way to get a phone number:

Can I get an extension til the 17th of April?
Thanks in advance
@Kallen9002 Please use the following link for a customer support number. You must talk to a representative to delay the debit of our fees.
It was supposed to come out of my federal return, but my return is delayed. I talked with someone on the phone yesterday about it, but she never asked me if my return was delayed. Is there anything i can do to stop the fees from being taken out of my account?
I was told there was nothing they could do to stop the debit from my account. Is this true?
@mbond312 wrote:I was told there was nothing they could do to stop the debit from my account. Is this true?
It depends. This is mainly a user community forum, so all we can go by is what TurboTax Support says. Whether they can stop it depends on how soon your debit date is. They start the process 2-3 days ahead of time. They say they can't stop it if it's already been started. Did they tell you your debit had already been scheduled and submitted?
See Point 2 in this FAQ below. It clearly says one can "request a deferment to prevent." But it also says that once they start the process, they say they can't stop it.
FAQ: Why was my bank account auto debited for TurboTax fees?
As an example, if someone has a debit date on a Friday, I think they can stop it if they are reached on the Tuesday before then. But a Wednesday might be too late. I don't know exactly what their cutoff date is.
Call again ASAP--tonight preferably (open until 9 PM Pacific). Explain the complete situation about your refund being delayed and if your account would be overdrafted, etc. If there's still 2-3 days before the debit date, they can hopefully stop it and give you the deferment. Remind them the TurboTax FAQ at the link above says that you can ask for a deferment if the process has not been started.
If they can't stop it, and if the debit results in NSF (non-sufficient funds overdraft fee), there is an appeals process to ask TurboTax for the NSF fees.
If the emailed bill has a phone number to reach Support, try that first. If it didn't tell you how to reach Support, here's another way to get a phone number:

I just saw that they have added a paragraph to this FAQ below, and it now has a specific phone number to use to ask for a deferment. See the first paragraph for the number.
FAQ: Why was my bank account auto-debited for the TurboTax fees?
It says:
" We understand that these are unprecedented times and we’re committed to helping our customers who are experiencing hardships. If you’re in need of assistance, call us by the Tuesday prior to your debit date at 1-888-808-1723 to speak with a trained specialist and mention “auto-debit”, or visit TurboTax Support."
I want to get an extension because I have not got my federal yet and do not get any income right now due to the covid 19

You need to phone TurboTax ASAP to ask for a deferment, or they'll debit your bank account. You need to reach them before they actually submit the auto-debit request. Once they submit it, they say they can't stop it. You need to phone them today (Tuesday).

I need extension my balance due, we it up for 04/17/20?
@mousygirl wrote:I need extension my balance due, we it up for 04/17/20?
What kind of balance due are you referring to? Balance due for what?? Which of these scenarios below is it??
1) Have you received an emailed bill for TurboTax product fees because you chose to pay them out of the Federal refund, and the IRS has delayed your refund an unusually long time? And if so, is TurboTax now threatening to debit your bank account?
OR
2) Have you filed a return and owe Federal taxes due, and set up a direct debit date for the IRS to withdraw your taxes owed to them? And you want to stop that electronic payment of taxes?
Please explain which one of those you are asking about, and we can tell you whom to contact.
The answer to the first situation has already been answered a couple of times in this thread, so if that's your situation, you can scroll up and read the answers above.
My balance due for my tax prep $80, I need an extension 4/17/20, rather than 4/10/20.

As I mentioned in my last comment, if that's your situation, hopefully you scrolled up and read my earlier answers in this thread as I advised and contacted TurboTax Support right away.
If your debit date is 4/10, it might be too late, but if you haven't already phoned them, you need to check quickly. You need to phone TurboTax ASAP to ask for a deferment, or they'll debit your bank account. You need to reach them before they actually submit the auto-debit request. Once they submit it, they say they can't stop it. For April 10, they may have already submitted it. You need to phone them now.

Thank you, I was trying to figure this out so I asked again today, I appreciate the info.
The turbo tax fee was supposed to be deducted from my refund, but my refund is delayed and I got an email saying that the fee would be debited from my bank account. I need an extension on this debit as I am broke

Are you referring to an auto-debit of TurboTax preparation fees? This is a user community forum, but we can tell you what to do.
If you chose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, and if your Federal refund has been delayed unusually long at the IRS (or if it's been reduced), TurboTax will want to be paid. They likely started sending you emailed bills to pay. If you don't respond by either paying or asking for a deferment, they will ultimately debit your bank account. If you wish to ask for a deferment, you need to do so quickly.
See this FAQ that explains the process. The first paragraph of the FAQ has a special phone number if you have a question or have a hardship and need to ask for a deferment.
Hours are currently 5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern).
If you need to ask for a deferment, you should call them as soon as possible. Once they actually start the debit process, they say they can't stop it.
