Another installation in progress

I purchased TurboTax 2022 (disc).  When I tried to install it, I waited about an hour after starting the install, but nothing happened.  No indication that the install was happening.  Never got to the point where I was prompted to type in my license code.  So, I removed the CD, re-inserted it, and when prompted, I said "install".  Then I got a message that another installation was in progress.  Have been sitting here waiting for the install to proceed, without success.  Have no idea what to do now.
