Amended returns

My token is 145330069-43474455.  I prepared this return for my 86 year old dad and filed both federal and state returns electronically on 3/6/25.  After that, he received corrected 1099s and a late Schedule K-1.  I went back into Turbotax to prepare the amended returns.  The program told me 1) that federal had to be printed and mailed, but later in the program gave me the option of filing electronically - which one is it????  Secondly, it said that an amended state return could be filed electronically for FREE, but later in the program said it would cost $25 - again, which one is it????  Thanks for any help you can offer.

Yes, an amended return may be filed electronically unless there's something reported in the return not supported by TurboTax. TurboTax will inform you of this if this is the case.

The $25 is an electronic filing fee. Since the wording suggests you may file the return electronically for free, you may wish to contact TurboTax customer support to have this charge reversed. i would suggest paying it and then request a refund for the filing fee. Contact them by selecting this link.

Actually I went ahead and filed the state return electronically a few days ago and it did not charge me.  🙂
