After completing the form 4868, how do I proceed with filing electronically?

Can form 4868 be filed electronically with Turbotaxintuit?

Yes, you can file an extension Form 4868 electronically with TurboTax. The option to prepare and file an extension appears in Other Tax Forms under Other Tax Situations in both TurboTax Online and TurboTax Desktop.

If you file for an extension, include payment of any estimated taxes due. The extension is only to allow you to file up to 6 months after the deadline and not be assessed a late filing penalty. It doesn't extend the time to pay your tax. By filing your return on time, including extensions, you can avoid the penalty for late filing. Filing timely does not stop interest from accruing on any unpaid balance.

See this TurboTax help article for more information about extensions.

I have TurboTax Home and Business - 2024.  After selecting Form 4868, the software prepares the form and then instructs me to print it out and mail it.  Where is the option for efiling?

E-filing an extension request is done through the online editions

See this TurboTax support FAQ for e-filing an extension request - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/file-irs-extension-form-4868-turbotax-online/L2rDBZJtx_US_en_US?uid=m8aenpfw

This link seems to relate only to a business tax return and does not allow for submitting an extension for a personal tax return.  Is there a different link?

Ignore that.  I found the proper link.  Thank you.
