Activation Problem for 2024

TT 2024 Home & Business keeps saying I don't have internet access so I can't activate. I've allowed TT as a trusted site. I've deactivated virus protection.  TT 2023 opens with no problem. I've followed all troubleshooting steps.  Anyone else having a problem?

Looks like it is working now. I am not sure if the service is backup. But I also did the following:

Went to: https://shopping.turbotax.intuit.com/unified/downloads?cgcview=downloads

Logged in to my account

Added, my product key here by clicking "Enter your license code here". It gave me a popup to add product code. I entered the product code from my Amazon order

After that I launched the Turbox and it fetched the license from my account.

May be it is looking for product code to exist on your account

Same issue here. Purchases the license from Amazon for Business and also premier. Get stuck on activation screen with blank screen and then comes back saying "You're not connected to the internet".

First time it asked me to login to my intuit account, but subsequently it started the issue. Cleared cache and rebooted, but no luck.

Looks like issue with intuit

I am having the same problem.  Just purchased Premier 2024 from Amazon and it downloaded fine and started fine.  I logged on to TurboTax fine.  I cannot get to the screen to enter the Redemption Product Key.  Turbo Tax app states I'm not connected to the internet but I am.

Frustrated!

Same problem, get to activation screen, remains blank for a while then popup says I have no internet connection. Have rebooted, reinstalled, turned off firewall, run as administrator, all fails and won't let me get past the activation screen, have used turbotax for 15 years, never a problem with CDs, even on this current 4 year old Windows 10 PC, only this years, first time forced to download and register. ANY Help appreciated???

I went to your link. It wouldn't take my code.  However, I restarted TT and it asked for my code. Maybe Intuit was just having a glitch.  Hope everyone else's is working.

I just tried it again and it worked fine.  Seems to be fixed.   I opened TT 2024, and it asked for the Product Key.  I keyed it in, and TT 2024 seems to be working fine.  Was able to import my data from last year.   Good luck!

Thanks RM999, did what you suggested. Clicked on link, entered Product Key received from Amazon, I just stayed logged on to TT, don't think that may have been necessary, but downloaded code and installed and started TT OK.  Found last years return, everything seems normal.

You can actually order a 2024 TT CD for $10. Once installed you will need to enter the license code from the downloadable version you purchased.

I have the same situation as well. I have read on other sites that it is because it is not compatible with Windows 11 Pro. I cannot find a workaround for it. Has anyone else been successful?

I have been working on this now for 2 days and seriously thinking about cancelling my Turbo Tax subscription. I uninstalled and re-installed and the updater worked ONCE. Then on subsequent entries it fails. I have tried running it as administrator, opening my firewall, rebooting my router and there seems to be no solution available. On top of that, I cannot find anyway to actually speak to a person at intuit.

Check out RM999 post.  This seemed to work for me.

I got it to work yesterday. I logged in to TT online and then opened TT 2024 and as able to do the activation and import last year’s data. I talked with tech support at 1-800-624-9066 or 1-800-446-8848.

I had the exact same problem.  Then, this morning I switched browsers from Chrome to Firefox.  Unstalled and reinstalled Turbo Tax 2024.  The activation screen showed up with spaces for the activation code.  Everything worked.

I had the same issue using the Firefox browser.  Switched to Chrome and I had to keep hitting RESUME, but it downloaded and worked.

I too had this problem, and the next day I was able to activate using the icon installed on my computer.  I can only guess as to why - there was a statement when I initially activated about an up to a four hour wait, so it may be an internal hold period at Intuit, but no statement on the activation failure screen - only that I was not connected to the internet, or there was a problem with a firewall.  I worked with my virus protection group, and they determined that it wasn't them (this was quite the headache, by the way, it gives me pause to use turbotax again to be honest).  Thus, a delay at Intuit, I am guessing.  Anyway, try again the next day is my advice.

There was a glitch at Turbo Tax that no one could activate for a couple days but they fixed it.  There was nothing the user had to do.

I had the blank activation window problem as well.  I uninstalled the software, then used Microsoft Edge rather than Chrome to download from InstallTurboTax.com.  Activation worked fine.

I have a different problem but similar. Have my receipt and activation codes from purchasing directly from Intuit. When I log into my account all prior year purchases show but 2024 is no where to be found. I enter the License codes in drop down and get an error and can't go further. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I had same problem with blank activation window. I did as RM999 has stated. Did not stay logged in on browser, no disable of McAffe, again activation window seemed to not work but left it same, after about 20 mins it came alive asking to choose TT login and then it worked. I am using Win10, TT Deluxe bought at Costco.

Finally got it to work after 3 days of trying. Had to manually enter the activation code. What they show is last 4 digits and the rest ####. Copy from website or manually enter the full code!!!
