Activation code not working

I purchased a package at costco.  go to enter the activation code and it will not let me in.  Checked and verified code numerous times and it will not let me in.

Did you buy the TurboTax Online or the TurboTax Desktop/Download software? What error message are you getting?

Someone yesterday had that issue, and found that their AVAST internet safety settings were set really high, and that blocked the entry of the code.

 

Night be anyone's Virus setting, if set too robustly/restrictively.

OK...found the details:

Whatever works.....perhaps we should suggest both.

 

But a Windows Rt-Click on the TTX icon...and "Run as Administrator", without messing with a possible high firewall setting should be your first try.

Otherwise try:

1) Temp shutdown of Firewall ? (McAfee mainly?)

then

2) Run As Administrator?

We purchased at Costco too and couldn’t download because we have a MAC … tried using the activation code online but not working either. Can we return or is there a way to make it work online? Thanks!
