ABP adjustment

I entered $548.58 from box 11 yet TurboTax has made an adjustment for $1,536.59.  How do I reconcile?

Please clarify what form you are posting, and where do you see the adjustment occurring?

The first step would be to review your 1099-DIV entries to make sure the correct number was entered and that you don't have duplicated entries.

  1. Open your return and select Federal on the left side menu.
  2. Select Wages and Income toward the upper left.
  3. Scroll down, or expand the list and find Interest and Dividends.
  4. Expand that section and find Dividends on 1099-DIV.
  5. Click on Add/ Edit to the right.
  6. The first screen will show all of the entries for Form 1099-DIV. Check for duplications and incomplete forms before moving on. If you spot a duplicate, delete it, if something looks off, edit the form.
  7. If everything looks okay, start at the top of the list and review the box 11 entry for each 1099-DIV that you have. Make any corrections needed.

If you still have a difference, it may have come from a K-1.
