The 8606 was finally released but the 1099-R nor this form show as a rollover on the 1040.  And you can't overide the box.  Common guy's.  Get it right will yah.  They werre supposed call me back from support and nobody has called.  This problem needs to be fixed otherwise I may have to print the return out and download the form from the IRS and do it manually.  I'm getting tired of this crap.  I may change software next year and give up on you.

A rollover of a 1099-R distribution shows a Code G in Box 7.  TurboTax asks in the questions following your entry whether you rolled over to a Roth IRA.

If you didn't do an actual rollover, but a conversion or recharacterization instead, here's more info Recharacterization and How to Enter a Back-Door Roth Conversion.

'Rollover' doesn't show on Form 1040, but the 'Rollover' box is checked on the 1040/1040SR Worksheet.  Form 8606 will include the indicated rollover in the Traditional IRA Balance if the rollover was completed by year end.

If you could be more specific about your situation, we'll try to help.  Here's more info on Form 8606.
