2025 TT Document ID Field Error

I am using the PC version of TT Premier that I downloaded from the TT site.

Issue - Downloading 1099's from Raymond James - I am getting an error message that I am typing in more than the 11 characters allowed in the Doc ID field.

Raymond James uses alpha-numeric ID structure with spaces that I removed the spaces when completing the data field.

I have successfully imported one set of 1099's from my Raymond James account but when trying to import the 1099's from a second Raymond James account I receive the error message immediately  when clicking on the continue button.

Out of curiosity I entered eleven characters (all number 1's) in the Doc ID field and then clicked continue. I did not immediately the receive the error message and it appeared that the TT app was communicating with Raymond James and then returned a message "invalid sign on".

I also replaced the alpha characters in the doc ID  with a number and the error message did not appear when clicking on continue but still hot the "invalid sign on" message. Something with the aloha characters.

I uninstalled the software, reinstalled it but still getting the same error message.

Any guidance would be helpful.

Since we can't see your tax return or broker account info, I'm wondering where you're getting the Document ID to enter.

Normally, the Document ID would be on the saved PDF copy of your documents, and the ID would most likely be different for each account.

Some users reported successful imports by disabling anti-virus software.  Here's info on How to Turn Off Anti-Virus Programs.

You can make a one-line entry for the totals for 1099-INT/DIV in those sections.

Also, here's How to Enter a Summary in Lieu of Individual Transactions for your 1099-B's.
