2024 forms missing

Trying to finalize someone’s taxes for 2024 and going through the Federal Review when a message indicates that the forms for charitable contributions are not approved for release until Feb 6, 2025 so cannot proceed.  I don’t understand as this is a basic 8283. Anyone else have problems with this?

The issue you are having is because Form 8283 is not currently available.  It is scheduled to be released and available tomorrow, February 5th.

Originally it said Feb 6, 2025 but I read online that people are now saying Feb 13, 2025.  IRS already has the 8283 forms ready so this must be a turbo tax delay, which is frustrating.

The Form 8283 is listed.  It shows as being available for filing using TurboTax on 02/05/2025.

@DoninGA i don’t see it.  Individual 1040 and California.  No form 8283 listed at all for print and e-file.

So I submitted my taxes 02/04/25. TurboTax gleefully let me file with zero warning. Now I have a letter from the IRS and in 60 days purgatory. I am no tax expert, but I do give waaaay more than $500 in charity and this form is missing from my filing.

How do I correct this? Anyone know? Does anyone know by chance what other silent mistakes they did if you filled before 2/4?

BTW - This is pretty much a customer ending mistake by TurboTax. Turbo Tax would have to do a lot to re-earn my trust in them.
