After downloading and launching desktop version successfully, I entered income information till when I needed to import brokerage statement when I am prompted to sign in my TurboTax account. The login window took forever to start, and login and password boxes are both disabled so I can't enter anything. I tried File -> Sign in at the return home page, it was the same thing. I rebooted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing helped. Is it a software bug or something else?
Thanks for the reply, but I have tried those before I submitted this question, and they didn't help. I also found another thread of chats discussing the same problem as mine. Would you like to take a look?

Which browser is your software using to have you sign into the account?
Also, it might be beneficial to try changing your default browser on the computer, as this could assist to fix it.
Please let us know if this helps the issue. @fenglisa
@CarissaM My default browser is MS edge, which one does turbotax work well with? Thanks
Mine worked OK with MS Edge as the default browser (Windows 10, Desktop Premier).
A couple other things to try.
1) Go up to the "File" menu in upper left. Toward the bottom of the pop-up there is another menu selection place to sign into your TTX account...maybe that one will work.
2) IF the sign-in boxes are still blocked, try rt-click and Refresh (if using Windows).
3) Still no? Hit the tab key a couple times to see if a cursor moves around between boxes before trying again.
4) Could be you have a pop-up blocker of some kind that needs to be shut down temporarily?
5) Wait until Friday Feb 24th and run a software update. They are "supposed" to be releasing a software update that is "supposed' to fix some brokerage sign-i/access/import issues...maybe that TTX sign-in is part of it.

Last resort. 1099-DIV and 1099-INT forms are really easy to enter manually.
.....but more than a few manual entries for the 1099-B/8949 can be a chore though.
@SteamTrain Thank you for very detailed steps of the suggestions. I tried 1-4 before and they didn't fix the problem. and I took updates released so far 2/24 5:30pm EST, and I didn't see the problem resolved either. Very frustrated here.
Found another one!

solution #156) Down in the lower rt corner of the desktop software screen is a text % setting ( A
A
) . One person found that they had it set at 150% and reducing the text size to 100% allowed the proper Intuit login boxes to appear.....But you might have to mess with different % settings, as it might depend on your full screen pixel resolution for yoru particular monitor.@SteamTrain Thanks again. Also tried, unluckily, didn't work. :(
If the software was set up properly in the first place, you wouldn't have to mess with it...
BAH to TTX!
...but...
Check the last couple entries/comments in this post, where vservice finally got it to work after messing with screen resolution & text % settings as recommended by ron1000:
@SteamTrain Thanks a lot. I followed the discussion to play around with the display configuration, and finally it worked.
