2022 Form 1040v

This is a bit off the W4:

As I no longer have dependents, my taxes went up so I paid my 4 vouchers last year based on the estimated amount generated by my 2021 taxes, they came already printed with the amounts. Now I received a letter from the IRS with a refund check, a 2023 Form 1040-ES/V and a 2022 Form 1040-V and  4 2023 blank vouchers together with another 2022 payment voucher 🙄. The explanations in the letter are rather very confusing and difficult to understand. Where can I get more information to better understand them and to estimate the value of each blank voucher? Clearly not the same amounts on the 2022 vouchers that came with the 2022 income tax form…🤯

Here is a calculator to help with knowing how much you should pay in estimated taxes. I hope it is helpful.

Hi jlgib,

I can understand that receiving a letter from the IRS can be confusing and scary at times. However, several times they just need more information from you. Click on this TurboTax article to learn more about the different types of notices and letters that the IRS sends.
