2021 rejected return due to form 8962 missing

It was rejected for the form missing but I had Medicaid for 2021? How can I correct this? According to Medicaid they are still required to report the 1095B to IRS. I do not have a 1095A.

The 1095-A form is a known problem that is being worked on by TurboTax.  Since you are on Medicaid and do not have a Form 1095-A  and did not have marketplace coverage but the section seems to keep defaulting to "yes" This is not a defect, but a case of a form hanging on in the return.

  • When revisiting the section the default answer is still set to yes but the 8962 and 1095A are not part of the return.
  • If you select Yes you will be prompted to enter the 1095A information and you cannot continue leaving the full form blank as an error will be presented.
  • Now you will not be prompted with the yes/no question to receive the 1095A and will see your entry with options to edit/delete the entry.
  • Delete the 1095A entry and both the 1095A and 8962 are removed from the return.
  • If you revisit the section again default will be yes but the forms are removed
  • Now, select No, e-file your return, and if you are rejected, then the IRS requires your 1095A in the return  (See article 1095-A).

To remove both the 1095A and 8962 follow these steps:

  1.   Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
  2.    In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools.
  3.    In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
  4.    Look for Form 1095A and Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.
  5.  Look for Form 8962 and Select Delete next to the form/schedule/worksheet in the list and follow the instructions.

This link gives the steps to Delete a Form.

Thank you for that information but the option you provided is not listed. What do you recommend? I have already tried to refile and it was rejected again. This is the first time I have ever had an issue filing with TurboTax so I am at a lost. Please help.

There is a known issue with the Form 1095-A area of the return and we do not have a date of fix.  We suggest checking back often to see if you can correct the error.  In the meantime, please delete your cookies and reboot the computer to see if that helps.
