2021 AGI doesn't match

TurboTax is rejecting my e-file even though I have entered the correct AGI. I checked the IRS transcript and their number is the same. TurboTax has made errors on their end with my tax information in the past, so I find this discrepancy not only frustrating but worrisome. Is there anything else I can to do e-file this year? And how can TT's records be different than the IRSs?

try using zero as the AGI.....

 

you are trying to match the IRS records - not TT's.

 If it was rejected for AGI—-be aware that many 2021 returns took so long for the IRS to process that your 2021 AGI might not be in the IRS system.   Try using zero instead.

 

If filing with zero is rejected then file again but select the option that you did not file last year.  The IRS does not see that question and it will allow you to e-file with no AGI question.

If that does not work and you still cannot e-file, then print, sign, and mail your tax return.
