2018 Values Are Not Showing Up in 2019 Forms

Have just started entering my 2019 tax information, and noticed that, unlike in past years, the values for last year (2018) are not showing; such as on the "Your 2019 Income Summary" page.  These values were helpful because they allowed me to see any changes in tax information from one year to the next.

How can I get TurboTax to display these values for last year?

Need this to happen to complete form.   I may have two separate accounts by mistake

I am seeing this too. Was always able to compare prior year’s taxes to help with current year.

Go to your HOME page and scroll down to "Your tax returns and documents" to see if this is the same account you used last year.

Make sure you are using the same account as last year and signing in with the same User ID. You might have multiple accounts tied to your email address.

This problem is with the CD/downloaded version of TurboTax Deluxe for the Mac, not the online version. Finally got to speak to a Intuit TurboTax representative and was told that this "feature" is not available in the 2019 version of TurboTax Deluxe for the Mac. He didn't know why, only that it is no longer supported by Intuit.

Huh?  I did my friend's return on her Mac and it showed all the 2018 amounts.  Did you transfer from the right 2018 return before you started 2019?  Do you have the .tax2018 file on this Mac?  When I clicked Begin it found 2018 right away and asked if I wanted to transfer.

Yes, when I started my 2019 return I was able to transfer my 2018 results successfully. However, I have basically completed my 2019 Federal and state returns and TurboTax Deluxe does not show any 2018 values on any tax forms or worksheets.

Most unhappy with this year's version of TurboTax, and may start looking for an alternative tax preparation application for next year.

Where do you expect to see 2018 values?  I think they will only show on the review or summary screens like the income or deductions listing, not in any actual forms or worksheets.

One of my 2018 Asset Entry Worksheets is not being imported to my 2019 Form 4562

You might have said you sold it or stopped using it in 2018.

Here's an idea.  Do you still have 2018 installed?  Try opening 2018 program and see if you can get your 2018 return to show up in it.  Go to FILE - OPEN.  And see if your schedule C is in it and if it's marked as finally disposed.  Or any Assets were disposed or sold.

Then save it again with a name and place you can find.  Go to File - Save As.  Then start a new 2018 return and transfer from the 2018 file.

That answer worked for this user - Thanks for the tip!  I did go back to the 2017 return and found a box checked that indicated the business on the sched C had been disposed of.  I unchecked the box, saved the 2017 file and re-imported.  All is good!  Thanks, again!

It also does not show on the CD version in Windows Home & Business. This used to be a great feature. Each year TurboTax either creates a problem or removes a great feature. I'm really getting fed up with it ...I'm not going to have any hair left because each year I pull it out filling out TurboTax

Get with the program TurboTax coders!

Thanks for your reply porkchopxx. Totally agree with your sentiments. For awhile I thought the problem was just with the Mac version of TurboTax, but it appears even the Windows version is not without problems. Have already cancelled my automatic order to next year's TurboTax Deluxe
