180-day payment plan

Hi all, a quick question about the 180-day payment plan.

 

The application asks you to supply your amount owed. Say you wanted to pay half now and half through the payment plan. Would you just send the IRS the first half then, on the application, provide the leftover amount to be financed?

Yes, if this is what you wish to do.

 

To pay half of your taxes now, you can pay online at irs.gov/payments.
