I received a 1099R from a former employer. My question is why is there an amount listed in box #16 "State Distribution?" This amount is the same amount as listed in Boxes #1 and 2A. Since this is a pension and I don't report pensions to my state (Pennsylvania), there shouldn't be any amount in Box #16. Should I disregard this amount and not Enter it into TurboTax or since it's listed on the 1099R, go ahead and enter it into TurboTax?
