1099k error about link to schedule d worksheets

I entered my 1099k from ebay. It's all personal items sold at a loss. Not a business. When I run the error check, TT says:

Form 1099-K Wks (ebay): Link to Sch D worksheet links the same copy of this worksheet as another copy of form 1099K. Select a unique copy of the worksheet for each  Form 1099-K.

This is the only 1099-K I have and when I delete it, there are no errors. If I reenter, same error.

If I click on the arrow next to the highlighted spot of the form, it takes me to a list of 1099-B worksheets to select from. There is a button to link to one of the forms but nothing happens when I click on one. The error stays the same.

Thanks!

Are you able to view the Schedule D worksheets at a screen like this?

If so, are you able to delete each worksheet be clicking on the delete trashcan?

You also may be able to delete the extra worksheets by following these steps:

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Tax Tools.
  • Click on Tools.
  • Click on Delete a form.
  • Find the form listed and click Delete to the right.

In TurboTax Premier Online, I am able to report the personal item sold at a loss by selecting This amount in box 1a is too high or includes some personal transactions at the screen Let's get the info from your 1099-K.

The same things is happening for me, @Vickycp (in TurboTax Desktop, however).  1099-K for eBay sales, all at loss, personal items.  Add the single 1099-K and the federal check reports the same error message.  Delete the 1099-K, and the error goes away.  Add it back in and the error reappears.

The suggested thing to try (from @JamesG1) doesn't match what I see when I look at the raw forms (perhaps because I'm on the Desktop app).

Anyone have another way to solve this?

In TurboTax CD/Download, you would be able to remove the Schedule D entries here.

Access the screen under Personal / Personal Income / Investment Income.

You are able to delete the IRS form 1099-K entries here.

Access the screen under Personal / Personal Income / Other Common Income / 1099-MISC, 1099-K, 1099-G.

Re-enter the IRS form 1099-K at the same location.  At the screen Personal Item Sales, you may be able to select:

  • I sold some items at a loss or had no gain, or
  • All items were sold at a loss or had no gain.
