1099 DIV, 1099 INT & 1099 MISC all Zero's

I have both employee stock purchase plan and employee options that were cashed out and all the forms are zero's.  When cashed out all the transactions were administered through our payroll and taxes taken out.  Question is do I need to file a form 8949.  Turbo tax wants me to upgrade to a higher package due to the 1099 DIV form.

-DIV and -INT forms with all zero's shouldn't be entered at all.  some brokers provide consolidated statement with all forms, but if all zeroes...don't enter it.

BUT......if there is a 1099-B/ 8949 that will would require Premier.

Yes...your gain is reported on your W-2 with taxes taken out, but an issued 8949 still has to be entered....thing is, you update your "cost" for the security to it's price on the day you exercised it...so you is a zero gain on that form, with perhaps a small loss due to broker's fess.  But using Premier cannot be avoided

I did not receive a separate 8949, it is in Summary of proceeds and states refer to the 1099-B.  My statement states the mounts shown are for informational purposes.  So i take this as just a breakdown of the sale and Yes it does show a small loss due to broker fees.  So do I still need to upgrade to premier

I suspect you need to ask them about the 1099-B/8949 form. I'm pretty sure you should be getting one.  Lost in the mail?, you moved, and it was returned to the Broker?  Call them and find out what's going on with it.

When I did something similar a number of years ago, I also got an initial informational form, but eventually received an actual 1099-B/8949.

but if one was issued, then ....Yes...when using online software, you have to use Premier (or SelfEmployed) for that form 8949
